Our Story
We launched Harlow & Stitch in 2021, a small family run business with the idea that not all dog accessories have to be just practical, but they can also be stylish too!
We started hand-making everything from collars to leads, bow-ties to bandanas. Having never used a sewing machine before this was a challenge in itself but what we created, the hours we poured in and the mistakes along the way are what's lead us here today!
Endlessly roaming every local fabric store and ordering fabric online was always the hardest part to accept, that we were never going to be 'unique'. We needed something different, to be different... This is why we changed our strategy.
All of our product patterns are now designed specifically for Harlow & Stitch so you will never find the same design anywhere else.
Why Us...
Sure, there's a ton of websites that offer a similar gig... But why us?
Firstly, we don't do "plain" - You will find all of our product designs are bursting with character and for each and every new design we release, we put a lot of thought and planning into to ensure they match the brand perfectly.
Not only are our product patterns exclusive to Harlow & Stitch which in itself might be enough persuasion, but we also believe that there's more than enough room for us to slot into the industry and offer our on take on what 'stylish' dog accessories are. Afterall, not one size fits all...
The Name
Here's the fun part! We got our first Cocker Spaniel 'Harlow' back in August 2020 and when we first established back in 2021, we used to hand-make everything on our sewing machine and so that's where the 'Stitch' part comes in (Harlow & Stitch).
Until... We welcomed 'Stitch' to our home at the tail end of 2022, so now we have two Cocker Spaniels of which we feel represent the brand perfectly. Afterall, they're full of character just like all of our designs!
